What Happens When You File a Chargeback?Updated 5 hours ago

Filing a chargeback (payment dispute) with your bank may seem like the quickest option, but it's actually a lengthy and complex process. Here's what you should know:

The chargeback process

  1. You file a dispute with your bank or card provider
  2. Your bank contacts our payment processor
  3. The funds are temporarily held while the case is investigated
  4. We submit evidence to support the transaction
  5. The bank reviews the case and makes a final, non-reversible decision
  6. This entire process can take up to 120 days

What this means for you

  • You won't have immediate access to your funds — the money is held in limbo during the entire review period
  • We cannot issue a refund while a chargeback is active — once a dispute is filed, we are unable to process any refund until the case is resolved by your bank
  • The decision is final — there is no appeal process. If the chargeback is resolved in our favour, the funds are returned to us
  • It may affect your account — filing chargebacks can impact your relationship with your bank and card provider

Better alternative: If you contact us directly, we can resolve most issues within 1–3 business days. We offer refunds to your original payment method, replacements, store credit with a 10% bonus, and partial refunds — all much faster than the chargeback process.
